It's been nearly 15 years since Indiana Jones last appeared onscreen in 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and more than four decades since he first swung into action in 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark. In that time, the hero archaeologist hung up his iconic fedora and trusty bullwhip, but his days of adventuring aren't behind him just yet.

The first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the fifth and Harrison Ford's final installment in the franchise, sees John Rhys-Davies' Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahir lamenting, "I miss the desert. I miss the sea. I miss waking up every morning wondering what wonderful adventure the new day will bring to us."

"Those days have come and gone," Indy says.

"Perhaps," Sallah responds. "Perhaps not."

Set in 1969, Dial of Destiny will see Ford's Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones teaming up with Phoebe Waller-Bridge as his goddaughter, Helena, to take on the villainous Nazi, Voller, played by Mads Mikkelsen. ("Nazis. I hate these guys.") The cast also includes Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, and Toby Jones.

Two-time Oscar nominee James Mangold (Logan and Ford v Ferrari) is at the helm this time, making this the first time that someone other than Steven Spielberg has directed an Indiana Jones film. (Spielberg and George Lucas serve as executive producers.) Franchise producer Frank Marshall recently told A.frame, "It's everything I think that everybody wants out of an Indiana Jones movie."

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will hits theaters on June 30, 2023. Watch the trailer below.
